Founded in Sweden and launched in 2019 Ridesum is a training mobile and web app built for equestrians by equestrians. Creator Jenny Stråhle, dressage rider was soon joined by Karin Lindell, Icelandic rider, and Mateusz Dziurla, eventing rider, as co-founders. The team has extensive experience from the equestrian world and many own, breed, train and compete horses in different disciplines.

Make Training More Accessible
“From the start we’ve always focused on solving real problems that many equestrians have,” Karin shared. The original idea was to help equestrians progress faster by making training more accessible, affordable, and easy. “For our remote online training you only need your smartphone to train live with your favorite coach – anytime, anywhere.” Ridesum offers one of the largest libraries of global trainers and experts in the world.

Over the past few years Ridesum has grown to fulfill equestrians needs in even more ways. “At the core of the app is the horse diary where you can plan and log all your horse activates like training, veterinarian, and farrier,” Karin points out. The diary allows you to GPS track, set smart reminders, create checklists, and provide statistics as examples of some of the features available. “We know equestrians are passionate about their horse and that they want to remember everything and always be learning – Ridesum is your partner in doing this.”

Top features include:

·      Horse diary – log, track and organize all your horse activities in a fun and smart way.

·      Remote online training – train live with your favorite coach – anytime, anywhere. All you need is a smartphone and the Ridesum app.

·      Access to the world’s largest pool of trainers and experts. Search, find and book any training or service

·      Pocket office – gathers every part of your horse business in one app. Clients, bookings, training, and payments.

Subscription and Support
Ridesum features the horse diary as a free option, but if equestrians want to progress their riding and take advantage of the depth of training knowledge there is a Premium package available for a subscription. This subscription gives the user access to many features such as GPS, smart reminders, and statistics. In addition, the subscription provides the opportunity for remote online training which is recorded and allows you to repeat sessions. Ridesum is planning to offer users an even more intuitive and fun experience that includes more challenges, quizzes, and knowledge sharing.

“Ridesum collaborates with many inspiring and skilled riders and trainers who are keen to share their knowledge to our customers,” Karin said. “We’ve had one brand ambassador World Cup Finalist dressage rider Johanna Due-Boje since launch.” Lisen Bratt Fredricson, former Olympic showjumper and Peder Fredricsons’ wife, is also a partner in Ridesum and an ambassador.

Tech Advancements
“During the last few years, we’ve seen technology adoption increase in the equestrian industry and we believe this will continue. Equestrians have become more digital and like to try out new tools that can benefit performance and horse welfare. This aligns with the Ridesum mission in accelerating equestrian learning and progress in a smart, smooth, and sustainable way.”
