Saturday’s featured class during the final week of the Winter Equestrian Festival was the FEI $500,000 CSI 5* Rolex Grand Prix - a featured event that highlights some of the best horse and rider combinations in the world. This year there was a threat of rain, but luckily mother nature had other plans and the focus was on 40 skilled pairs and the only sound of thunder was from the horses’ hooves gliding over the picturesque derby field.

Greetings ‘at home’ equestrians! As we practice shelter in place, social distancing and hyper-focused hygiene I wanted to share photos I captured each weekend of the Winter Equestrian Festival (otherwise known as WEF) to showcase all of the outstanding competitors that make this event a ‘must-attend’ for all. It is always a great time to be immersed in horse sport and even though it was cut short this year - the beauty and athletisim is amazing to experience.

Read MoreThe years, months, weeks and hours planning and training for this event are immense, but what made it all worth it was that this event brought together some of the most talented and experienced equestrians and their equine athletes from around the world in a quest for the top of the podium and the admiration from their country’s fans. The Tech Equestrian had the opportunity and pleasure of experiencing this moment to cheer on the USA team and watch in amazement how each horse and rider team executed technical and some of the biggest jumps known to the sport at 1.65m in height.
